Face Treatment

PhytoClear™

These services provide a comprehensive approach to addressing various skin concerns from a medical perspective, ensuring patients receive targeted, effective treatments for their specific needs. These treatments are generally less risky, have shorter recovery times, and can often be performed on an outpatient basis. Here are some common types of Face Treatments:

PhytoCalm™

Acne is a common skin condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It can leave behind marks, blemishes, and even acne scarring, affecting one’s self-confidence. While there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, realistic plant-based solutions can manage and alleviate acne and its associated conditions with the most appropriate approach. It occurs when hair follicles are clogged with oil and dead skin cells, often exacerbated by bacteria, hormones, and sometimes diet.

Some common causes:

Hormones

Increased androgen levels can cause the oil glands to enlarge and produce more sebum.

Bacteria

Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) bacteria can proliferate in clogged hair follicles.

Genetics

A family history of acne can increase the likelihood of developing it.

Diet

Certain foods, such as dairy and high glycemic index foods, can trigger or worsen acne.

Stress

Stress can increase hormone levels, exacerbating acne.

PhytoFade™

As a dermatologist, I offer a comprehensive approach to acne management, beginning with a thorough medical consultation to assess the type and severity of acne. Based on this evaluation, I prescribe a tailored treatment plan that may include topical and oral medications such as retinoids, antibiotics, and hormonal treatments to address the root causes of acne. For more immediate results, in-office procedures like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and comedone extractions are available to clear pores and reduce acne. Advanced treatments such as laser and light therapies, including photodynamic therapy and blue light therapy, are used to target acne-causing bacteria and inflammation. For severe cystic acne, corticosteroid injections can be administered to quickly reduce inflammation and prevent scarring.

PhytoRenewal™

Pigmentation refers to darkening of the skin in certain areas, leading to uneven skin tone and dark spots. Pigmentation issues refer to areas of the skin that become darker (hyperpigmentation) or lighter (hypopigmentation) than the surrounding skin. Common types include melasma, sun spots, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Some common causes:

Sun Exposure

UV radiation increases melanin production, causing dark spots and uneven skin tone.

Hormonal Changes

Hormonal fluctuations during pregnancy, birth control use, or hormonal therapy can cause melasma.

Skin Injuries

Inflammation from acne, cuts, or other injuries can lead to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Genetics

Some individuals are more prone to pigmentation issues due to their genetic makeup.

Certain Medications

Some drugs can cause changes in pigmentation.

PhytoBlush™ Lips

To address pigmentation issues, I provide detailed dermatological consultations to diagnose and understand the specific pigmentation concerns, such as hyperpigmentation, melasma, or age spots. Treatment options include prescription topicals like hydroquinone and retinoids to lighten dark spots and even out skin tone. In-office chemical peels using glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or TCA are available to exfoliate and reduce pigmentation. For more stubborn pigmentation, laser treatments such as Q-switched lasers, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), and fractional lasers are effective in targeting and breaking down pigment. Microneedling, with or without PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), is also offered to improve skin texture and tone.

PhytoFlow™ Gua Sha

Aging skin displays signs such as wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, and a loss of elasticity and firmness. The skin becomes thinner and drier over time.

Some common causes:

Intrinsic Aging

Natural aging process influenced by genetics and the passage of time.

Extrinsic Aging

External factors like sun exposure, smoking, and pollution accelerate skin aging.

Reduced Collagen and Elastin Production

Aging reduces the production of these essential proteins, leading to sagging and wrinkles.

Decreased Hydration

Aging skin loses its ability to retain moisture, becoming drier and less plump.

Repetitive Facial Movements

Over time, repetitive expressions can cause permanent lines and wrinkles.

PhytoSculpt™ Lift

My anti-aging services begin with a comprehensive skin analysis to identify signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of elasticity. Based on the assessment, I offer a range of treatments designed to rejuvenate the skin. Injectables like Botox and dermal fillers are used to smooth wrinkles and restore volume, giving a more youthful appearance. Laser resurfacing treatments, including fractional CO2 and erbium lasers, help improve skin texture and reduce fine lines by promoting collagen production. Microneedling with PRP is another effective option to stimulate collagen and rejuvenate the skin. Additionally, I provide prescription-strength skincare products, including retinoids, to maintain and enhance anti-aging results.

Laxity

Skin laxity refers to the loss of firmness and elasticity, leading to sagging skin, often seen on the face, neck, and body.

Some common causes:

Aging

Natural aging causes the breakdown of collagen and elastin.

Weight Fluctuations

Significant weight loss or gain can stretch the skin, leading to laxity.

Sun Exposure

UV exposure breaks down collagen and elastin fibers.

Genetics

Some people are genetically predisposed to skin laxity.

Lifestyle Factors

Smoking and poor diet can contribute to skin laxity.

PhytoPersonal™ Program

To combat skin laxity, I offer non-surgical skin tightening treatments such as Ultherapy, which uses ultrasound, and Thermage, which uses radiofrequency to firm and tighten the skin. These treatments stimulate collagen production, resulting in a more lifted appearance. Laser therapies, including fractional lasers, are also available to promote collagen and improve skin elasticity. For patients seeking a minimally invasive option, thread lifts can provide immediate lifting and tightening results. Microneedling treatments are offered to further stimulate collagen and elastin production, helping to firm the skin. Customized skincare routines with prescription-strength products are also provided to support ongoing skin firmness.
