About Folke
His passion for skincare began at 15 when he started creating plant-based formulations using high-quality ingredients from the pharmaceutical industry to manage his sensitive acne-prone skin.
He graduated from Singapore Polytechnic in 1997 and the National University of Singapore in 2003 with honors in engineering. In 2013, Holistic Natural Health and constantly upgraded his professional knowledge with Cornell University and Harvard Medical School.
With a commitment to natural living, Charles’ ongoing education and research have led him to create innovative, plant-based formulations that work effectively and have minimal environmental impact, opening new possibilities for sustainable skincare.
Recognising the potential of machine learning, algorithms, and data analysis in holistic skincare innovation, Charles leveraged his foundation
Charles works out regularly in his free time to sharpen his mind and maintain energy levels. As a fitness, nutrition, and food enthusiast, he regularly creates recipes with wholesome ingredients to delight the senses. He owns and creates two inclusive and whole-food-centric F&B brands – Folke Cafe and Lean Bento (sold in 2022).
His dedication to ethical practices and customer satisfaction has earned him a loyal following. Charles’ tireless effort in innovation and adopting well-founded knowledge from different ancient healing and scientific disciplines has resulted in a transformative impact on how the holistic natural skincare industry can educate, inform, and add value to the self-confidence, awareness, and lives of others.

Mr. Charles Ng has founded Folke Skincare since its establishment in 2003. He is one of Singapore’s first in plant-based natural skincare and non-invasive skincare technologies. He leverages on his academic background in engineering, holistic health, and nutrition to create purposeful skincare solutions.
